Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Colorado

The Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Colorado, is composed of just over 50 local organizations or Squadrons throughout the State of Colorado and each is sponsored by an American Legion Post. The Detachment of Colorado has over 2,800 members. The Detachment of Colorado has a very distinguished record of accomplishments in service to veterans, children & youth and in our communities. Colorado was home to the National Commanders of The Sons of The American Legion, Woodrow Mudge Jr. in 1985-86, and Mike Moss 2014-15. The Detachment of Colorado consistently ranks in the top tier of total monetary donations to The American Legion Children Welfare Foundation as well as per-capita giving. In recent years membership numbers for the Detachment has been growing consistently and in 2013 earned the prestigious Triple Nickel Award for outstanding membership accomplishments.
